Parker is still off doing his thing. So, for our podcast episode this week, I invited my yummy friend Shar to share the mic with me. You Can Listen to it here.
Coming up on Inauguration Day and celebrating Martin Luther King, it seemed fitting to begin our conversation here.

One definition of inauguration is:
An inauguration is a ceremony that formally marks the start of something. I love that definition because it bypasses formal constructs and gives us the opportunity to open to a brand new way of seeing and being as a whole.
For our nation, tomorrow marks the official start of our new administration. And for each of us, it is the opportunity to decide for unity in heart and mind, to stand as love in the face of the recent divisive chaos. What’s the alternative? Like MLK jr. said:
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Here, as Love, is where we take our stand. Let’s change history, by changing our own stance.”
Where will we take our stance? In love or fear? Let it be love… Each decision to stand as the light of unity and love as we go forward unites us in one purpose and creates a vibratory field for the whole of humankind.
Fear and hate have had a lot of screen time lately. Can we see it as the collective ‘call for LOVE’ it is? YES! What else could it really be? Hate and fear dissolve in the burning fire of our unified choice to LOVE. Love literally casts out fear.
It takes great willingness to suspend with we think we know, and enter the unknown moment before us, with Love at the helm. But oh how yummy that faith feels. Like a summer breeze. It is the first step into trusting Life, our divinity, our unique place in the universe as irreplaceably significant. Here, we learn to trust the messages from divinity as the feeling center — our yummy-stat, or inner guide, igniting the joy of our shared being and lighting the way before us.

Choosing a taking our stance as Love sends a beacon of joy and welcome we might not even be aware we are emanating. We’ll never know the lives that are touched by that simple miracle of extending love unconditionally. But oh, it feels yummy to be part of it. Yes?
Instead of trying to ‘get’ something from life, give yourself to it…aware of yourself as part of everyone and everything creating together.
Take a moment right now. Feel your breath. Notice the sensation as it moves through your nostrils, as your chest rises and your belly fills, and letting it all reverse as you exhale. Be present to each micro-movement as the breath moves from nostrils to belly … let it speak to your being, your presence here now.
Feel into the stillness around the thoughts, sensations, or feelings that arise. Can you feel or sense a tiny pulse just below your belly button? If not, what do you sense? Now notice that which is aware of your experience — your essential self. That element that has been with you always, the sense of self. The same I, you were as a child and up to this moment, now.
The I AM.
Ground within first. Am I aware? Yes. I AM. I am that which knows or is aware of my experiences. I am what is essential, ever-present, before, and in the midst of all experience. I am the Peace, love, joy. One with the source of Life Itself.
Just keep noticing what arises. We don’t need to be afraid of feeling whatever comes up. In fact, if it comes up, it a gift to see what beliefs and attitudes might still be getting in the way of our ongoing peace and joy. We can acknowledge them with love, give them their due with aware presence. That doesn’t mean we need judgment to run the show. It’s not the story the mind spins that matters. It is our presence.
Notice what the story says and question its validity against the touchstone of love, of joy. Notice all the subtle tendencies to distract or make a problem, or a plan to fix it, get rid of it.
Soften, enlist your compassion. And let everything be what it is. Love that you notice … breathe into the tension and allow it to ease with your compassion. If that’s difficult. Try thinking about it this way.
If you were your child, could you hold her and let her have her feelings, comforting her and reassuring her that she is loved. Feel the truth of that. Now… Can you take that tact with yourself? Forgive what you need to forgive and feel the peace that surrender brings.
Be open — keep energy within and open to what’s before you. Everything is neutral. It is the way in which we engage that gives the response. Allowing our feelings and thoughts, while aware of our being changes the response of the object of our attention. If we’re inside our self, we are naturally appreciating and loving what is.
So first we must bring our attention out of what we are thinking and into our BEING. Out of our identification with past programming and identify with being in this moment here now.
Life is asking for our being. Centered in being is centered in love.
We don’t need labels. Being open is loving without knowing what it is before you this moment. No conditions, no expectations. Just Loving for the joy of it.
You can feel it in deep within — an infinite font that seems to emanate from the heart area or between the chi station below your belly button — maybe encompassing the entire area from below the navel to above the heart. It radiates and expands with our thoughts and interactions. Send your ripples out as an inauguration of LOVE.
Thanks for joining us. We love you.
Have a yummy week & a yummy day!!!
“Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.
